What a lovely family all the way from North Carolina! 🇺🇸
They spent three wonderful nights at Naledi Game Lodge and had the most incredible safari — they ticked off everything on their wish list… except buffalo.

And then, on the drive to the airport, boom — a beautiful herd appeared as if they were waiting just for them. Perfect timing!

Such a cool moment to be part of!!

There’s something magical about drifting across the still waters of the Blyde Dam, surrounded by the sheer cliffs of the Blyde River Canyon — the third-largest canyon in the world.

Our journey began at the water’s edge, where we boarded the boat and set off into this natural wonder. As the engines hummed softly, we were carried into a world where towering red sandstone cliffs rose dramatically around us, lush green slopes tumbled into the water, and waterfalls cascaded down hidden crevices.

Along the way, we spotted crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks, hippos wallowing lazily in the shallows, and fish eagles circling overhead. The guides brought the canyon to life with fascinating stories about its geology, wildlife, and the dam’s role in the Lowveld ecosystem.

The highlight? Gazing up at the iconic Kadishi Tufa Waterfall — often called “the weeping face of nature” — and the Three Rondavels standing proudly in the distance, an unforgettable reminder of the canyon’s grandeur.

There’s nothing quite like watching the world wake up from the quiet majesty of a hot air balloon.

With Sun Catchers Hot Air Ballooning, our adventure began before sunrise, gathering in the cool morning air as the giant balloon came to life. Moments later, we were gently lifting off, leaving the earth behind and gliding silently over the Hoedspruit farmlands, rivers, and the edges of the Greater Kruger.

The panoramic views were breathtaking — the Drakensberg mountains glowing in the early light, wildlife moving through the bush below, and the vast Lowveld stretching endlessly in every direction.

As we touched down, we were greeted with the warmth of Suncatchers’ crew and a celebratory drink to toast an unforgettable morning.
