Last week was , and we're highlighting a devastating connection many don't know about.

Vultures are targeted by rhino poachers. Why? Because these natural sentinels circle above a poaching incident, alerting rangers to the crime. To avoid detection, poachers are poisoning the carcasses, wiping out hundreds of critically endangered vultures at a time.

Okay, we’re a little late to the party... but the best thing about books? The party never ends! 🎉📖

We might have missed National Read a Book Day on Sept 6th, but we’re firm believers that every day is a good day to dive into a great book. This day is all about grabbing any book you enjoy and getting lost in it.

Our challenge to you: Don't keep the magic to yourself! Read a passage aloud to your child, a grandparent, your pet, or even your favourite plant 🌱. Sharing stories connects us.

My heart is full after an unforgettable Hoedspruit book tour! None of this would have been possible without the incredible vision and support of Patsy Stagman and Rhino Rescue UK . A massive thank you for your partnership and for funding the entire project, including the donation of 130 books to every child at Nourish Eco-Village Creche. Seeing their joy was priceless.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet the talented artist and teacher, Walter Khoisan Ka Mthunzi. A special thank you to Panda Paints for sponsoring some of the art materials for the stunning concrete rhino mural created by his students and funded by Rhino Rescue UK (pics to come soon).

Thank you to Southern Cross Schools for hosting us and accepting 20 books for your library (also funded by Rhino Rescue UK). Gratitude to Chacma Bush Camp & Sun Destinations for your generous hospitality, and to Terry Rawlings (of Rhino Rescue UK & Nourish) for the flawless logistics and gracious hospitality.

This journey was a beautiful reminder of why I created these books. To see them bring joy and learning to the communities that inspire them is the greatest reward.
