What are your Spring goals? 🌿

Mine are: * Plant a lot more seeds
* Take Dahlia cuttings
* W**d and mulch all the garden beds
* Make more beds (especially for sunflowers 🌻)
* Plant out tomato seedlings 🍅
* Save seeds from the lettuce in the picture, and process all my Rats’ Tail Radish seeds.

It’s going to be a busy season! 🌿💪🏼

A week in flowers and other farm things 💐

Ranunculus are still going,
Apricot Statice are starting,
Chocolate Lace/Dara are about to start 🥰👯‍♀️

We put up our first two beds of flower netting and we’re feeling super profesh! 💪🏼 (and yes it is, unfortunately, the plastic one. Turns out the Jute one isn’t really available in South Africa and any small bits that are available are incredible expensive. So we’ll use this a million times and hope to find a better solution in future too).

Lettuce and rocket are flowering and setting seed, and our Romanesco broccolis are forming - but I’m afraid they may bolt before becoming anything substantial. 🌿

Very pretty eggs are coming through from our sweet hens ❤️

My first ever Daffodil has flowered and I’m completely smitten!

Clover cover crop/living mulch germinating in the tunnel. We’ll be planting tomatoes seedlings next week. 🌿🍅
