​There was a heavy security presence at the Polokwane Magistrate's Court today as Lehlogonolo “Shebeshxt” Chauke returned to apply for bail.

​🛑 The Defense’s Argument:
Shebeshxt’s legal team is pushing for his release on R50,000 bail, citing urgent personal and financial reasons. They told the court that his partner is heavily pregnant and due next month. They also highlighted the financial damage caused by his detention, noting that he has already missed several shows and has over 40 bookings scheduled for the festive season that are now at risk. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
​👮 The State’s Allegations:
The court heard testimony regarding the specific incident that led to his arrest—a confrontation in Ladanna on October 19. Police allege that during an altercation with another motorist, shots were fired, leaving a victim with severe injuries. The investigating officer testified that the victim spent four days in a coma and remains hospitalized.
​📅 What’s Next:
The magistrate has postponed the case to December 8 to allow the investigating officer to finish his testimony. Shebeshxt remains in custody until then.
