Johannesburg, 6 November 2025– Operation Dudula has successfully appealed the Johannesburg High Court interdict secured by on 3 November 2025, suspending the order and clearing the way for the group to resume operations at Gauteng schools and hospitals.

The original ruling had barred Operation Dudula from demanding documents, blocking access to public facilities, or intimidating foreign nationals—actions the court deemed unconstitutional. The interdict, celebrated by human rights groups, effectively halted the group's planned school inspections set for today, 6 November.

Speaking at a media briefing, Operation Dudula leader Zandile Dabula confirmed the appeal was lodged immediately, automatically suspending the court order. "We are free to protect South African resources," Dabula declared. "Our operations at schools in Gauteng will proceed without delay."

The group insists its actions target undocumented migrants straining public services, while critics warn of escalating xenophobia and vigilantism.

With the legal barrier lifted, Operation Dudula has signaled imminent action at schools across the province, reigniting tensions in communities already on edge.

Jacinta Ngobese Zuma calls for a march on November 7, 2025, framing it as a defiant stand against perceived oppression by courts and policies that she believes undermine South African citizens' interests. The message highlights concerns over immigration, resource allocation, and long-term national sovereignty, urging participants to prioritize locals ("Put South Africans FIRST") amid fears of demographic shifts.

Mangobese echos sentiments of frustration with NGOs, captured institutions, and foreign influxes from countries like Pakistan, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. This taps into broader debates in South Africa about unemployment, crime, and border control, where public anger has fueled similar protests before.
