Title: A Piece of My Heart
I never knew how much strength a mother carried until I became one.
Last year, my little girl, Mia, fell sick with a high fever. We thought it was just a normal virus, but days turned into weeks of hospital visits, tests, and sleepless nights.
The day the doctors said the words “chronic illness,” I felt my world crumble. I remember standing in the hospital bathroom, silently screaming into a paper towel so Mia wouldn’t see me cry.
Since then, my life has been a blur of medication schedules, emergency rooms, and watching my daughter fight battles no child should ever face. I miss the days when my biggest worry was what to pack for her lunchbox.
Some days, I feel so alone, even in a room full of people. The worry never stops. The fear never leaves.
But I keep going. Because she’s my daughter. Because I love her more than my own life.
To any mama out there carrying a silent burden: I see you. I’m standing with you. And even when it feels impossible, we keep going—for our minis.
