The SA First Forum linked to March and March says it will take the South African government to court if the foreign nationals staying on Moore Road in Durban are not moved to Lindela by next Tuesday.

The group says the government had agreed to move the people to Lindela in Gauteng, but this has now been disputed by Bishop Raphael Bahebwa, who speaks on behalf of the foreign nationals. He says they have not agreed to leave Moore Road. This means there is currently a disagreement over whether a deal to move them was actually reached.

The foreign nationals, reportedly mainly from the DRC, Burundi and Tanzania, have been staying on Moore Road since May. SA First Forum says that if the government does not carry out the reported undertaking, it will ask the court for an order forcing the government to act.

SA First Forum says, “If the government does not move them to Lindela as promised, we are going to court.” But the foreign nationals say they never agreed to the move.

Luyanda’s mother says she discovered that the person who allegedly stole her child’s identity is Zimbabwean.

Cases like this are exactly why many South Africans continue raising concerns about illegal immigration and identity fraud. People should not be labelled “crazy” simply because they want stronger border controls and proper checks on who enters and remains in the country.

And this is reportedly just one of many cases involving identity-related concerns. The issue should be investigated properly, and anyone found to have broken the law should face the consequences, regardless of nationality.

A Congolese woman has praised Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma for what she sees as an act of Ubuntu during the March and March clean-up in Moore Road. She says Ngobese-Zuma called on mothers and children to move aside, showing that the action was not about targeting them.

She also said they understand that South Africans do not hate them, but that there are concerns about issues affecting communities. We actually dont hate anyone ..we just want our country to be cleaned up nxa
