Three books to read this 's month
With women just as great as their challenges, dedicating this whole month for them can never be just a thing. It's a month where we focus on women and reflect on their daily challenges. Here are some great women who through their books will change how you look at women forever.
Masetsana Khumalo wrote a biography titled BASSIE - MY JOURNEY of HOPE. Here, she takes us on her journey to the top, and challenges she faced personally and professionally being a women in the limelight and in the boardroom. She's achieved so much and she's not showing any signs of stopping anytime soon. Her journey of hope will not leave you inspired.
Marah Louw. Also in the entertainment industry, she is an advocate for women right in her own right as she's been through so much. Mara shares with us even the most uncomfortable information with a hope that it will help someone out there going through the same things. All this you can read from her autobiography titled IT'S ME MARAH
In her book EXIT - A TRUE STORY, Grizelda Grootboom talks about her life as a s*x slave and being treated as an object from a very young age and how she escaped it's horrow. Coming from this even a stronger and fearless woman, she is now an activist against human trafficking. Human trafficking is another subject we definitely need to learn about and hearing it from the survivor can only give us a true experience.
These books are for all genders as they fight against inequity and prejudices we all live with daily. Men can become better ones and women can see that their struggles are valid and possible to see themselves beyond them. If you're in Vanderbijlpark you can get all these titles and more at African Flavour Books before the end of the month and immense yourself in great power of our sheros (female heroes).
