“Wololo 1600 Volts” is rooted in Congolese Soukous and South African Afro-pop, igniting a vibrant fuse of retro Congolese guitar meets Pan African groove. The song delivers, fusing Lingala swagger with Tswana soul.

Tusheze is the musical collaboration of 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂 𝗡𝘀𝗲𝗸𝗮 and Matshediso F. Mholo (TshediMalaika), bringing together two powerhouse talents from different corners of the continent.

Bienvenu Nseka, hailing from DRC and based in South Africa since 1995, cut his teeth leading his band Les Fantastiques. His guitar playing on this track is nimble— weaving tight melodic lines over a rhythm that grooves hard.

Matshediso Mholo, better known as 𝗧𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗸𝗮, rose to fame in the 2000s with Afro pop supergroup Malaika. Her voice—warm and expressive, adds a soulful sophistication here. She flips effortlessly between Lingala and Tswana, giving the track layered cultural depth.

Solid support comes from Pathy Libongo’s thumping bass and Papy Kalonga’s lush keyboard textures, creating a punchy and plush foundation.
