MY TRUE LIFE TESTIMONY 😪🙏🏽✨please read till the end so you won’t pass through what l did .
When I was pregnant with my baby, everything was going smoothly—no complications, no stress. But at around six months, everything suddenly changed.
One morning, I woke up to get ready for work, but I couldn’t stand up straight. I was in severe pain, like contractions—as if I was in labor. I told my husband, and immediately, he stayed home from work and rushed me to the hospital.
When we got to the hospital around 8 a.m., they started checking me. The pain in my lower abdomen was so sharp, I couldn’t stand erect. They ran several scans, but no one could figure out what was wrong. In total, about 11 doctors checked me, and still no answer. Eventually, they had to call a specialist from another hospital.
That doctor arrived around midnight. After running his own scan and taking me to another theater for examination, he finally found the issue—one of my ovaries was twisted. That was what was causing the intense pain. They told me I needed to go in for emergency surgery to untwist it, so that it wouldn’t affect me in the future, especially with fertility.
I was scared. I asked, “Will my baby be okay?” They assured me that the baby would be fine and that they were experienced in handling situations like this. I started praying earnestly, joining NSPPB prayers, crying to God not to let anything happen to my baby.
My sister encouraged me to go ahead with the surgery to avoid future regrets. So I changed my prayer point and started praying for a successful operation.
That night, they monitored me closely. By morning, the pain was still intense, so they went ahead with the surgery. Since my baby was constantly moving, they had to inject something to help the baby stay in one position. But even with that, the baby kept moving. They tried to operate on the left, but my baby had moved there. They opened the right—baby moved again. Finally, they had to make a third incision just above my navel to safely complete the surgery. That’s why I have three scars on my stomach.
The surgery was successful. The first thing I asked when I woke up was, “How is my baby?” They told me my baby was okay, just not moving yet. My stomach had reduced in size, but I trusted God.
3months later, I gave birth to my baby girl naturally—no C-section, just normal delivery. I even asked the doctor, “Can I push this baby after all I went through?” and they said, “Yes, you can.”
If this had happened in Nigeria, I honestly don’t know what the outcome would have been. They might not have been able to diagnose it, or they could’ve told me it was an infection and rushed to remove the baby. But God, in His infinite mercy, made it happen abroad where help was available.
That’s why I named my baby Chisom and my husband name her English name after me ,which is ( Happiness )—because truly, God is with her. ❤️
To every pregnant woman reading this: Please, pay attention to your body. Don’t ignore any unusual pain or changes.
God is faithful. This is my testimony. 🙌🏽
