With nearly two decades in the FirstRand Group, Robert brings deep experience from FNB Retail, DirectAxis, and MotoNovo (UK). His track record? Driving customer-centric innovation, building strategic partnerships, and leading teams to sustainable growth.

On his appointment, Robert shared:-

Seriti Resources CEO Mike Teke has been appointed Chairman of FutureCoal: The Global Alliance for Sustainable Coal, effective 12 August 2025.

He succeeds July Ndlovu and will lead the organisation’s global push for its 10-year Sustainable Coal Stewardship (SCS) strategy—promoting responsible, technology-driven coal use across the value chain.

Teke has called on industry leaders to “come out of the coal closet” and embrace open, transparent dialogue on coal’s role in energy security and economic growth.
