CHAPTER 2 — Your Story Matters 🎬
A few moments from our Youth Storytelling & Creative Empowerment Workshop in Khayelitsha.
This is only a glimpse into a day of storytelling, learning and creative exchange.
Together, we explored acting, directing, producing, cinematography and filmmaking with the resources already available to us, encouraging young creatives to recognise that every great story begins with the courage to tell it.
It was a privilege to facilitate the workshop alongside Misha Lekhuleni, who shared her experience as a director, producer and actor, and Dlozi , Director of Photography on Indlela Yokubuya, who unpacked the art and craft of cinematography.
A special thank you to Noncedo Mngqibisa for joining us and introducing participants to a practical pathway into the industry through its hands-on training model, giving aspiring filmmakers insight into what comes after the first spark of inspiration.
To every participant who showed up with curiosity, openness and a willingness to learn, thank you. We hope this is only the beginning of your storytelling journey.
