KDS THE JOAT is a 16 year old artist from South Africa, mainly producing hip-hop music. The music he makes is impactful and controversial to those who don't fit in with the world, those who are known as 'joats'.

As underated as he is, his music has reached over thousands of streams within a year of releasing on platforms. Potentially reaching out to those who need a new rare sound in the music industry.

His main message in his craft is to impact the world & bring change by sharing his harsh past experiences, trauma and pain into a variety of unique sounds.

I'm an artist from Roodepoort, Gauteng but I was born in Pretoria. I've been rapping from the age of 11 though I did have an earlier interest in music at the age of 7, I never really had a favourite genre back then cause every genre was a vibe for me but later on I had a deeper interest in rap music at a stage where I even produced my own records of the genre.

I'm going to release my new single "South Serpent" on the 24th of October on Soundcloud. This song is about success, talent and hardwork with an essence of hard-hitting trap. I kindly ask whoever criticises soundcloud music to put their pride aside and stream & share it because I make different music which has a good impact on this world, mizing just delays the inevitable.
