In a bid to reduce unemployment in South Africa, Coca-Cola continues to stimulate economic growth and youth empowerment through their Bizniz in a Box initiative. They are delighted to share that 25 entrepreneurs in Mdantsane, Eastern Cape have received mobile kitchens, equipment, containers and renovations to their existing containers to help build and grow township and rural economies.

Based in KwaMhlanga in Mpumalanga, 26-year-old Ntokozo Mtsweni is an artisan who lives off the work of his hands through his business, Zenzelayo, which when translated to English means ‘doing it for yourself’. According to Mtsweni he chose the name of the company because everything they do comes from their own hands. The company is a manufacturing company that Mtsweni founded in December 2015. According to Mtsweni his biggest customers are people from Durban, Free State, Johannesburg and the Eastern Cape. The business manufactures sliding gates, security burglars, carports, benches, bar stools, however his biggest product is a wooden serving plate which he sells to caterers and tshisa nyamas.

Kea a grade 1 pupil from Mamelodi wins big at an international pageant held in Zanzibar, Tanzania in April this year. Seven-year-old Keabetswe Temane from Mamelodi was crowned Grand Prix Mini Model Earth 2022 at an event in Zanzibar. Keabetswe is a grade I pupil from Mamelodi. She also runs a project called Sharing Inspires Caring under the Ditsala Children Shield banner, where she donates clothes and shoes for needy children in the surrounding areas of Mamelodi. She quickly rose to the ranks of a peace ambassador and was featured in the 95 Voices Strong for Peace campaign during KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng riots in 2021.

Themba Limekhaya is an entrepreneur based in Orange Farm, Johannesburg. He makes some of the most delicious pizzas from his shack, which is where the name of his business comes from Mkhukhu pizza which means shack.
