A breathtaking view of Table Mountain from Bloubergstrand in Cape Town. The sky is alive with the colourful kites of kite surfers dancing on the waves.

This captivating image captures the majesty of Cape Town’s most iconic landmark. The flat table of Table Mountain, stands tall against the azure sky. In the foreground, kite surfers ride the waves, their vibrant kites adding a dynamic touch to this picturesque scene. 🏞️🪁

On the 3rd day I give you 3 pics of 3 different birds.

In my "youth" I've kinda gotten into birding. I hear it's a thing. Anyway, here are some bird models I've photographed recently.

Shot with Canon South Africa R6 Mkii and
1. Canon RF 800mm F11
2. Canon RF 800 F11
3. Canon RF70-200 F.28 L

Do you know what each bird is?

The Eye of the Beholder.

It's amazing how invigorating a new year and a new atmosphere can be for one's spirit and self-worth.

Snapped this little bit of contemporary art at the MOCAA. To me it feels like I'm peering into the soul of art and design, all the while, it's looking back at me.

Let's see what happens!

2nd post in as many days. you guys are definitely spoiled!

New year. New post. It's been a long while on here, but with time, comes new adventures and definitely some new work.

I made my way down to Nieu Bethesda recently, and snapped this on my way in. It's such a gorgeous area with plenty of bird life and a great sense of calm.

Be sure to spend some time here if you ever make your way into town.

I celebrated our heritage with Ford South Africa the other day on a roadtrip through the Baviaanskloof National Heritage site in the new limited edition . The Stormtrak celebrates 10 years of Ranger and is based on the best selling Ranger Wildtrak. It also features an excellent 2.0l bi-turbo diesel engine mated with a fantastic 10 speed gearbox.

The Stormtrak handled everything we threw at it from water crossings to narrow, rocky mountain passes with ease and definitely carried me and my driving partner (an off-road and 4x4 novice) in relative comfort all the way.

All new Rangers come standard with a 4 year/120 000km comprehensive warranty, 3 year/ unlimited distance roadside assistance & 5 year/unlimited km corrosion warranty. A 6 year/90 000km service plan is included which covers 6 services at 15000km intervals (or annually, whichever occurs first)

We left the city to discover the universe. As our lights went out down below the billions above lit the world. Loadshedding has it's problems, but it also shows the beauty on offer out there.

A little to that time I went touring with the African Travel Crew and to when we were still allowed outdoors. It would be one of the last big adventures I got to do with my friend, Meruschka aka Mzansigirl before she left us all for her next big adventure above.

If our current situation and losing my friend has taught me anything, it's that we take for granted all the riches we have in front of us. Cherish those moments like the breeze of fresh air on your face or the smell of rain in the air, because you never know when it might be the last.

So tell me: Where would you like to see more of in South Africa once you get to be in the great outdoors again? Do you have any great travel gems for me to see when I get free?

Let me know in the comments below.

Here's hoping your flies by!

I've been very bad at sharing my work for a long time.. A lot of it had to do with lack of excitement (and also because the stuff that pays the bills is not necessarily the most interesting stuff to post, yet can also take the most out of me), but I got my spark reignited recently, and despite the circumstances in creating these images, I consider these some I'm most proud of in a long time.

These are just a small sample from this shoot with this awesome woman, who helped reignite my spark.

Thank you, Von

The Garden of Eden sits between Heaven and Hell maybe?

Shot this the other day on a last minute storm chase with my friend. Had to get the the shot quickly before the rainbow disappeared, so there is a slight blur, but the shot doesn't need to be perfect, as it was so spectacular just to witness in person.

When last did you witness nature in all its glory?
