Cue the trumpets and violins as Melville Untold dives into the humble yet rich history of Melpark Primary School. 🎺
Churches and schools are the pillars of any area's history. We learnt so much about our hood while doing the Melville Kruisgemeente story and even more while working on this one. Now, this story has a little bit of everything: from tents and shops to World War, the Spanish flu, a violent strike, break-ups and make-ups, and cold isolation, all the way to becoming a Melville cornerstone and the multicultural institution it is today. In this article, we pose the question: Why Have Melvillians Abandoned Their Local School? And also touch on some clues.

Smoking Kills Bar made an appearance at the monthly Melville Residents' Association meeting, weeding out the media misconceptions and getting back onto the same page. That was our sweet little story in Icing On The Cake. That's the spirit, Mellies - we work better together! 🤲
