🔰In Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 《●》Geviza Fadzai, a 3️⃣5️⃣-year-old woman from Mkwasine, Zimbabwe, has been arrested in connection with the murder of her three-year-old daughter on November 2️⃣5️⃣, 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣.
According to the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), Fadzai allegedly stabbed the child in the neck with a knife.

Police investigations established that the suspect allegedly killed her daughter to secure a marriage with a new boyfriend who was unwilling to be with her if she had a child.
Fadzai is also accused of attempting to hide the crime by giving conflicting accounts, initially blaming unknown attackers and later claiming the child died naturally to expedite burial. The alleged cover-up was reportedly uncovered when a neck wound was found, leading to a police report. Further details may be available from the Zimbabwe Republic Police.

This is tragic for a mother who is supposed to be the last line of defense for her children takes a decision to end her child's life in order to secure a romantic relationship. Some Some may say it's being judgemental,but the bottom line is,no life can be equaled to a relationship no matter the level of desperation.Now the potential husband may not continue with such a relationship let alone wait for the prison sentence to end.

In the end,it has become a double loss.May this innocent child's soul rest in peace‼️❌️⭕️❗️

🔰The City of Harare has issued a public statement concerning the death of three of its workers that occurred early today.

The City of Harare regrets to inform residents of the unfortunate death of three employees at our Morton Jaffray Water Works near Norton this morning.

Initial reports indicate that the employees were working on a decommissioned clarifier when tragedy struck. The City of Harare is investigating the incident.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones affected by this devastating loss.

The City of Harare is fully committed to cooperating with the authorities as investigations continue into this tragic event.

Police have been informed and are attending to the incident.

We will share further information as it becomes available.

We ask the community to join us in offering support and compassion to those grieving this heartbreaking loss.

The City of Harare assures residents and the general public that the incident does not in any way affect water production and quality.

🔰In Guinea 🇬🇳 《●》A military coup is currently underway in Guinea-Bissau, with army officers declaring they have seized power, dissolved the government, and arrested the President, Umaro Sissoco Embaló. This event follows a period of political tension after a disputed presidential election held three days prior.

Military officers, identifying as the "High Military Command for the Restoration of National Security and Public Order," announced on state television that they have taken "total control" of the country.

President Umaro Sissoco Embaló confirmed his detention, stating to France 24, "I have been deposed". Other top officials, including the armed forces' chief of staff and the interior minister, were also reportedly arrested.

The military has announced the suspension of the electoral process, closure of all borders, and the dissolution of state institutions.

The coup occurred just a day before the official provisional results for the November 2️⃣3️⃣ presidential election were expected. Both the incumbent president and the main opposition challenger had prematurely claimed victory, leading to increased political tension.

🔵Reggae icon Jimmy Cliff has passed away‼️

🔰The Jamaican reggae legend Jimmy Cliff died today November 2️⃣4️⃣, 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣, at the age of 8️⃣1️⃣. His wife, Latifa Chambers, announced on his official Instagram and pages that he passed away from a seizure followed by pneumonia.

Jimmy Cliff, born James Chambers on July 3️⃣0️⃣, 1️⃣9️⃣4️⃣4️⃣, was an iconic musician, singer, songwriter, and actor widely credited with popularizing reggae music on a global scale.

His career was marked by significant achievements in music and film.

He had several hit songs, such as "Many Rivers to Cross," "You Can Get It If You Really Want," and "The Harder They Come," and also famously covered "I Can See Clearly Now".

Cliff starred in the influential 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣2️⃣ film The Harder They Come, which was important for introducing reggae to a wider audience.

His contributions were recognized with two Grammy Awards and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣0️⃣. He was also the only living reggae artist at the time to receive Jamaica's Order of Merit.

🔰In Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 《●》The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the arrest of a woman in connection with a viral video that showed her severely assaulting a minor whose hands and legs were tied.
The woman was identified as Idah Mushayi, 2️⃣7️⃣, and the victim is her 1️⃣1️⃣-year-old daughter.
The incident took place on November 1️⃣3️⃣, 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣5️⃣, in the Chief Marange area of Odzi.
The assault was reportedly over the suspected theft of US💲1️⃣1️⃣.
ZRP Commissioner Paul Nyathi condemned violence against children and advised parents to use non-violent discipline methods.
Mushayi is facing charges and is expected to appear in court soon.
The ZRP began investigating after the video caused public outrage on social media.
