Before she became the Gugu Gumede we know and love today, she was just a little girl from KwaZulu-Natal with a big imagination and a dream. ❤️🌹💚

At only nine years old, Gugu Gumede was already discovering her love for acting, creating imaginary stories and even pretending to cry just to see whether her family would believe her. Little did she know that those childhood moments were giving her a glimpse of the career that would one day make her a familiar face across South Africa.

Born in KwaZulu-Natal on 10 December 1991, Gugu is now 34 years old. Her journey into acting took her far beyond home, eventually leading her to Los Angeles, where she studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

When she returned to South Africa, she began building her television career, including a role on Generations. But it was her unforgettable portrayal of MaMlambo on Uzalo that introduced her to millions of viewers and cemented her place in the hearts of many Mzansi viewers. ❤️

From the early days of discovering her talent to becoming one of the faces audiences recognise on their screens, Gugu’s journey has been filled with growth, determination and new opportunities.

And her story is still being written. In 2026, she has stepped into exciting new roles, including Joyce Gomora in The Polygamist and Phumelela Dube in eGagasini: Waves of Change.

It’s beautiful to look back and realise that the little girl who once acted out imaginary stories was already carrying the gift that would shape her future. ✨

After a long and emotional journey, Kwaito and Lizzy finally have a reason to smile. ❤️👶🏽

Lizzy went through a terrifying moment at the hospital after giving birth, leaving everyone worried about whether she would be okay. The tears, fear and uncertainty made the arrival of their beautiful baby girl an emotional rollercoaster. 😭💔

But through it all, their little princess arrived safely.

Now the biggest wish is for Lizzy to regain her strength, recover fully and get well so she can hold her baby close and begin this beautiful new chapter with Kwaito.

💔 SEVENTH WOMAN’S BODY FOUND IN EKURHULENI

Another woman’s body has been found in Ekurhuleni, bringing the reported number of women found in the area since July to seven.

The latest discovery, in Clayville near Mall of Thembisa, has deepened concerns about the safety of women across the region.

Police are investigating whether the cases are connected. Authorities have urged the public not to spread unverified information while investigations continue.

This is deeply heartbreaking. 🕯️

Long before Sindi Dlathu became Lindiwe, before she became Thandaza, there was just a young girl from Meadowlands, Soweto, whose talent was impossible to ignore.

Born in 1974, Sindi discovered her gift for performing while she was still a child. At only 11 years old, she won a national miming competition. Just three years later, she was already stepping onto the stage in Sarafina!.

Then came the role that made millions of South Africans know her name.

In 1997, Sindi became part of the original cast of Muvhango, playing the unforgettable Thandaza Mokoena. For years, we watched her bring the character to life — through love, family drama, heartbreak and everything in between.

But Sindi wasn’t finished.

She later transformed into the fierce and unforgettable Lindiwe Dlamini-Dikana in The River, proving that she wasn’t just a great actress — she had the ability to make completely different characters feel real.

Today, at 52, Sindi Dlathu has built a career spanning decades, and somehow, every new role still reminds us why she became a household name in the first place.

From Meadowlands to the biggest stages and screens in Mzansi, her story is one of talent, patience and longevity. ❤️

Police are investigating after the body of an unidentified woman was found yesterday behind the Protea Hotel in Rhodesfield, Kempton Park.

Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Acting Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Major General Fred Kekana visited the scene as investigations continue. Police have not yet confirmed the woman’s identity or whether she is Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, who was reported missing.

The discovery comes as police investigate four female bodies found in the Kempton Park area between July and September. A multidisciplinary team is examining the cases to determine whether there are any links.

Authorities have stressed that it is still too early to conclude that the cases are connected or that they involve one perpetrator.
