POTS would like to congratulate Koaile Monaheng on his achievement of being part of Forbes Africa’s 30 under 30 2023 candidates!
Koaile attended Rhodes University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Socia Sciences in Economics and Political & International Studies. He further went on to complete his Masters in International Climate Change Governance and Diplomacy.

Koaile considers himself a leader who is passionate about climate change, energy, and development. He is currently a Program and Consulting Associate for Power Shift Africa, leading the Africa Climate Energy and Development. Koaile is also an Associate Director for Khantsa Energy and serves on the Lesotho National Climate Change Committee (NCCC).

He was also one of our contributing editors for our 2022 Climate Change edition, stating in the editor's note asking our people to, “...join us in rejecting the false narratives and rewrite our stories for the sake of African history.” Koaile will continue to be one of our contributing editors for our future Climate Change editions, and we also plan on continuing to work with him on future projects surrounding the climate crisis Africa faces.
We acknowledge his amazing knowledge, skills, and leadership on Africa’s climate crisis and thank him for collaborating with POTS to further engage in the continent’s fight for a better environment.

Congratulations Koaile, we are so proud to be associated with such amazing talent ✨✨

Too often we as young peeple are caught in the in-between trying to be successful and leading a meaningful life. Akani's article is powerful in that it compels one to re-imagine the way we do things. Akani Mthembi is a two time Rhodes University graduate who has recently joined the UK Savings and Investments Project Team at Investec.

We look forward to hearing your thoughts on young peeple's role in the struggle against climate change.

Young People and Climate Change – Who Thinks About It? 5 Feb 2021 words by Akani Mthembi Why don’t young people talk about climate change as much as they talk about cars, houses and lifestyle choices that inevitably contribute to climate change?
