Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on the legendary Dzimauli D3695 road, Yes the very road that the Thulamela Mayor uses every single day to go to work. Every day! One would think that by now this road would have been pampered, repaved, or at least given a cup of tea… but no.
Yesterday, as usual, the road decided to take a little vacation. And I just can’t stop imagining the Mayor on the phone with her employee saying something like: “Good morning, sir. I’m very sorry, but I cannot come to work today. The road… has officially broken down. Again.” 🤣
Now here’s the funniest and saddest part: this is not a one time thing. No, this is an annual event, same road, same spot, same season, same sad Song, every single year. You could almost set your calendar by it: “Ah yes, January… time for the Dzimauli road drama!”. You have to ask yourself, what do people in the municipality say when this is reported every year? Do they promise to fix it? Or do they just take notes, sip their tea, and wait for next year’s drama?
And it’s not just the Mayor who is affected. People can’t go to work, no vehicles are traveling, and for 5 whole kilometers, this road is basically a graveyard for cars. Imagine a 5 km long “do not enter” sign made by Mother Nature herself!
Dzimauli D3695, the road that stops everything in its tracks, a road that brings the entire community to a halt, and a road that somehow gets an annual award for consistency… in breaking down.
Dzimauli D3695, the road that works harder than anyone in the office, and yet somehow never gets the promotion it deserves.
