Clement Moshoe Tebogo Mokoena, better known by his stage name TebzaFunk, is a South African record producer and DJ from Mpumalanga, South Africa. He spent his childhood in Kabokweni , later moving to Arnot, and then Middelburg. His early love of music was fuelled by music his uncle listened to - your Soul Brothers, Peter Torch, Bob Marley, Elvis Presly, Jimmy Cliff, Toto, Bayete, Stimela and a little of Kwaito. He started Producing during his early teens and quickly established himself into an “International Sensation” as TebzaFunk would describe himself.

TebzaFunk has always been passionate about learning new skills and to advance on those he has developed. “I can’t imagine my life without music”

“My name describes my style of music it always has an earthy type of jazz combining with blues and soul aswell as a heavy bassline on some cases which all sums up to defining how stylish and modern I am. My music has the power to transport people to another time and place. TebzaFunk loves to harness that power with a broad audience of music lovers and passionate musicians alike. Ever since a young age, TebzaFunk has found great joy and satisfaction in making music and sharing it with fans and people all over the world."

His biggest achievement is working with big artists due to the platform this provides, to be able to reach even further into the industry, and the ability to collaborate.

"I feel that the youth of today has limited opportunities and due to the industrial revolution not many of them are able to reach their full potential but sink into poverty and su***de. “The music industry excites me because of its ability to turn artists into stars. With this industry we can impact lives and affect generations, and for me that has always been my interest,” said TebzaFunk

He is currently signed to his own record label called FunkMusiQ which he says it got established after multiple record label rejections as a way for him to build his own digital footprint and is also in partnership with New York’s major record label Kobalt Music.
