One of the funniest details in Ocarina of Time is that you can actually spot portraits of Mario characters through the windows of Hyrule Castle. It was a small Nintendo Easter egg that became surprisingly memorable for fans. A remake could recreate it with newer Mario references while still honoring the original. India’s Moon orbiter captured something remarkable on the lunar surface. 🌕

Decades after NASA’s Apollo missions, Chandrayaan photographed the landing sites where the Apollo 11 and Apollo 12 lunar modules were left behind. 📸

The images show the spacecraft hardware sitting on the Moon’s dusty surface, with long shadows stretching across the terrain—remnants of missions that took place more than 50 years ago.

What makes the images especially fascinating is that they were captured by India’s own lunar spacecraft, independently documenting objects placed there during the Apollo era.

Chandrayaan wasn’t looking to settle an argument. It simply flew over the Moon and captured what was there.

The equipment is still sitting on the lunar surface, exactly where it was left decades ago. 🌕✨
