Daily Thetha represents the unheard voices of South Africans, especially the youth by sharing ideas, opinions and expertise. It is a show that is entrusted by South African youth as their ''information zone" or ''hub'', where they receive important and relevant information that will positively shape their challenging lives.

First born children are often referred to as "deputy parents" because of the responsibility that often accompanies the role they play in helping raise their siblings.

A 2021/2022 publication by UCT's Children's Institute reported approximately 26 000 children lived in child-headed households in 2019.

This responsibility often falls on the first born child and it comes with its own challenges.
