BLK JKS ( ), South Africa’s trailblazing avant-rock collective, is returning to Untitled Basement for a special edition of the Storytellers Series on 29 November!.

Their sound blends Afrocentric rock with desert blues, dub, funk, jazz, punk, kwaito and bold experimental elements. Expect swirling guitars, driving rhythms, folklore-rooted textures and a hypnotic, ritual-like atmosphere unique to BLK JKS.

This Storytellers session will include a special guest and a close-up conversation-meets-performance format. The band will dive into the inspirations, creative processes and musical journeys that shaped their evolution including their collaborations with Vieux Farka Touré, Money Mark, Madala Kunene, Morena Leraba, and the creation of *Abantu/Before Humans*.
