**"Ontwaak"** tells the story of psychiatrist Melissa Human's return to South Africa from the North to work - a trunk full of dangerous spiritual disorders. But behind the high walls, she discovers a sinister culture, Horisonne, which has swallowed her daughter, Adri - and her husband, Melchior, is the leader. To save Adri, Melissa must rely on Alwyn Bekker, a brilliant serial killer. Every answer leads to new danger. Every choice has a price. This is not just a battle against a culture - it's a battle against the darkest parts of the self.
