Its been a while since we last posted and it's not as if we've not been busy with content. However, today was just too good an experience not to share.

Our client, Steyn City delivered happiness to Diepsloot for the tenth consecutive year and Grapevine has been privileged to spread the good news about this wonderful initiative for the past ten years, too.

Today was a reminder that this is a project that is best measured in smiles and laughter. We received so many wonderful hugs and high fives ... a warm feeling that our team won't forget in a hurry.

Steyn City you did it again! Your Happiness Crew worked tirelessly over the past few days and nights to ensure that 12 500 thousand primary school children in Diepsloot received Christmas and with the generous support of Auto & General, each of these learners' families will receive a food parcel for Christmas this December.

Thanking Front-Line Heroes

Our client, Zebra Technologies has products (barcode scanners, tablets, RFID solutions etc) that are used by the majority of front-line workers in their daily jobs, whether in healthcare, retail, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, utilities or public services sectors.

Today, these front-line workers are our heroes. They keep our hospitals and essential services running. To celebrate, acknowledge and thank them, Zebra unveiled its Front-Line Heroes campaign.

It's a real privilege to be a part of the Steyn City team and its foundation. Yesterday, the Steyn City Foundation delivered a further 3 000 fresh produce parcels to the community of Diepsloot, where the need of food is far greater than the fear of COVID-19. It is humbling to witness the big hearts of all involved in this wonderful project, from the management of the foundation and the team on the ground to the residents, donors and partners who have all shown their commitment to their fellow South Africans.

It was also humbling to work alongside Gift of the Givers yesterday. This is the first of more deliveries they will be supporting, and their spirit and passion is both boundless and infectious.

As challenging as this period is, Grapevine is grateful for the opportunity to work on this project, alongside people who have fearlessly rolled up their sleeves and opened their hearts. We've been exposed to the best of South Africa and South Africans. Where there is love, there’s no room for fear. There’s only unity.

God bless South Africa 🇿🇦 and all its people.

Danny Painter is a woman of soul who speaks the language of love ❤️ and unites us.

Enough is Enough is a project three years in the making, written by Danny Painter, produced by Dj Choc and M.I Bembe.

The message is clear. Enough is Enough. From all across the world, we are bombarded with news of atrocities. Danny has always had a deep empathy for the world and believes that the only way that we change our world is to stand together, love without borders, race or religion and love ❤️ our world, our country back to life.

In this anthem for humanKIND she speaks about remembering the words of Nelson Mandela, John Lennon and Ghandi, remembering that we are in this together and that we are, no matter what, one race, HUMAN.

A percentage of the downloads of Enough is Enough will be donated to charity, and she would like YOU to be part of the music video!

With the launch of the song today, Danny will also launch the music video submissions. As this song is about all of us, she feels that the video should be as well.

Submit a short (less than 30 seconds) video of yourself, your dog, your family, your friends either mouthing the words, holding up a sign, anything that calls for an end to the hate, pain, anything that says “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”. Using the hashtag you could become part of the music video! And hopefully, a part of history.

We were delighted to have helped our client, Steyn City, take the next step in its incredible evolution. Earlier this week, Grapevine hosted a media launch for members of South Africa's property and financial press, giving them a taste of Steyn City's Vision 2020. Dressed in hard hats and safety vests, members of the media were treated to a tour of the billion rand construction site that will, next year, be launched as the City Centre, complete with residential lagoon and heliport. This week’s headlines say it all: South Africa's broadcast and print media are full of enthusiasm not only for this outstandingly luxurious - and unique - development, but also for the indication of optimism and confidence in South Africa this investment signals.
