The Wall takes the almost impossible-to-imagine 4.6 BILLION YEARS of Earth’s history and transforms it into an interactive journey you can actually walk through.

Late on Saturday afternoon, an intimate circle of guests gathered at Warona Farm for an exclusive, invitation-only experience, carefully curated around sunset, dinner, wine and music.

As the African sun slipped behind the mountains, the landscape seemed almost theatrical. And perhaps no one felt their pull more deeply than artist

Following an extraordinary Holy Smoke dinner, beautifully paired with Seipone wines and cape brandy from Avante, guests moved into a candlelit room warmed by a roaring fireplace.

And just off-centre stood an antique piano.

A treasured family heirloom. Generations of hands have touched its keys. Generations of songs and stories seem to live within it.

Then Apiwe began to play.

The room shifted.

Smiles appeared. Conversations disappeared.

And when he began to sing, something almost impossible to describe happened. His voice didn’t simply fill the room, it moved through it. Through every person listening. Somehow reaching backwards towards the generations who came before us, while carrying something forward to those still to come.

🍷 ELEVEN FLOORS UP, DINNER BECOMES AN OCCASION.

On Wednesday, 2 September, The 11th Floor in Bedfordview presents its final wine-pairing dinner of 2026, pairing an exclusive six-course menu by Executive Chef Kyle Marshall with a selection of Bruce Jack Wines.

Recently nominated for South Africa’s Best Restaurant and Africa’s Best Rooftop Restaurant at the 2026 World Culinary Awards, The 11th Floor knows how to turn dinner into theatre. ✨

Expect a delicious progression from oyster with gremolata and pear-citrus salsa, to smoked salmon with whipped feta, roasted lamb rack, a refreshing wine sorbet, deconstructed beef Wellington, and finally, lychee and coral cake.

Each course has been created around its wine, including Bruce Jack Reserve Pinotage, The Epic Journey and Bumble Bee Moscato. 🍷

As winter takes its final bow over Johannesburg, consider this one last decadent toast before spring arrives.
