Contra Joburg is back with another banger and we are part of this year's show. However we've brough a conundrum with us:
Africa's sublime story must be told by Africans from the perspective of Africans. This is our call to reclaim the narrative we tell ourselves. Through this exhibition we prepare before you, THE PALIMPSEST.
These incredibly talented artists have been doing the hard work of questioning reality as it is now, asking the sort of questions that only the youth could ask of society. Thus creating a new internal dialogue. This dialogue is one we are hoping you will join us to explore, to fill in and to experience.
