75% increase in prize money for winners and historic hosting by three countries are all the elements giving this year’s edition of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA 2024 added prestige.

The winners will now receive USD 3.5-million, up 75% from the previous edition, while the overall prize pool has grown by 32% to USD 10.4-million.
The opening match between Tanzania and Burkina Faso will be played on Saturday 02 August 2025, in Dar es Salaam at 20h00 (17h00 GMT).

The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”), in consultation with the three Nations that will host this year’s TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (CHAN) 2024 have announced the venues that will host the Opening, Third and Fourth and the Final Match of the Competition.

The TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda (CHAN) 2024 will be held between 02 – 30 August, 2025, marking a return to East African soil following the 2016 edition in Rwanda.

Dr Patrice Motsepe’s first term as CAF President celebrated with commemorative publication
Dr Patrice Motsepe was elected for a second term as President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) at the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo on Wednesday and will build on the extensive progress from his first term to make African Football globally competitive.

Dr Motsepe’s objective when he first took office in March 2021 was to make African Football self-sustaining and drive growth in a number of different spheres.

The last four years has seen CAF move its development agenda forward at pace with many historic firsts.
