Whatsapp to switch off messages for all who reject new terms

If you using Whatsapp to chat with friends and family, you might have heard before that changes are coming to Whatsapp. Furthermore, if you do not accept their terms by the 15 May deadline, your account will be listed as inactive and inactive accounts can be deleted after 120 days.

Also calls and notifications will function but only for few weeks. The question we would like to ask is, will you be switching to another messaging app?

Huawei turns to pig farming as smartphone sales fall.

This is the funniest thing ever but this is in response to struggling smartphone sales and it is looking at other sources of revenue for its technology.

The company has created an Artificial Intelligence (AI) tech for pig farmers and also working with the coal mining industry. Furthermore, in the last quarter of 2020 smartphone sales plunged 42% due to a limited supply of microchips caused by sanctions in the US.

Huawei’s smartphone manufacturing will be reduced by 60% this year and its exploring other revenue sources from cloud computing services, smart vehicles and wearables devices. Also it has plans for a smart car.

Gadgets & Home Appliances 10% increase in price this year.

A lot of things will increase in price this year and as such this will see your wallets dwindling down a bit unless working for the government then you won’t be affected. Prices of LED TV and appliances such as refrigerator, washing machines are expected to go up by around 10% this year due to the rising costs of key input materials like copper, aluminum and steel.

Furthermore, it seems like by the end of the first quarter of 2021 another increase of 10-11% is to be expected which will be influenced certain factors. Some manufactures have already increased their prices but Sony is still reviewing the situation and is yet to take a call on this.

Your smartphone loses value.

Yellow, The sad thing about having a smartphone is that every new release reduces your phones value by up to 51% after the first year. As soon as you take out your phone from the box, that’s 5% down drain without doing nothing.

Furthermore, the higher value handsets costing R 10k or more lose 51% of their value in the first six months, whilst mid-range handsets costing R 8k-R 9k lose 56% and cheaper handsets costing R 7000 or less lose 64%.

So those paying phones every month after the first year your phone is worth half what it cost meaning whatever amount you paying its free money for the company selling you the phone.

Sony selling PS5 at a loss

If you love playing games then here’s your next tech dose. Sony has shipped more than 4.5 million PlayStation 5s from the console’s November 12 launch to the end of 2020 but it took a loss on those sales because the console “strategic price point” is lower than what it cost to manufacture it.

In November the company said the new PlayStation 5 is facing “unprecedented” demand, making its availability scarce, even though more PS5s have been available, in whole numbers, than their predecessors.

Apple VR Headset

Its with your daily tech dose. Let’s talk about Apple, the company that milks its customers for every single dime. According to reports, Apple is planning on launching a VR headset and the leak reveals, it will have two 8k displays with a $ 3000 (R 55416) price tag.

Bloomberg believes the AR/VR headset that Apple is working on will come out in 2022, while the AR glasses that are in development will come out at a later date. The next follow-on product to be released is smart glasses expected to be released in 2023.

According to Reuters, Apple Inc. wants to build its first car in 2024 as well as the creation of self-driving systems and a "breakthrough battery technology". There have been rumors of Apple developing a car going back to 2015 but it seems Apple has renewed its focus on building an actual vehicle.

Apple Inc. will rely on third parties to provide some components of its self-driving tech, including its LIDAR systems. Furthermore, Apple will use its battery tech to allow for a potentially longer range and lower costs.

It seems like the Apple Car will not come with a charger.

Good Good, It seems like Cyberpunk 2077 faced a lot of big problems when it launched, from optimization issues with old video game consoles, with people complaining about graphic related issues and more.

Furthermore, with its messy launch CD Projekt S.A considered offering refunds to those who wish not continue playing the game but if you been living under a rock, Cyberpunk 2077 has already sold more than 13 million copies since its launch two weeks ago.

Also the game had 8 million pre-orders prior to launch and its likely Cyberpunk 20277 sales could soar far higher once the studio fixes more of its bugs.
