Fund Awareness Campaign!! Don’t miss out!

DEDEAT, in partnership with the DSBD, the dtic, and municipalities across the Eastern Cape, is rolling out the Spaza Shop Fund Awareness Campaign to boost township and rural economies.

The campaign promotes access to the R500 million Spaza Shop Fund, launched to support township and rural convenience shops, including spazas.

This initiative aims to empower local entrepreneurs, strengthen coordination between national, provincial, and local government, and broaden the participation of historically disadvantaged communities in the mainstream economy.

This aligns with DEDEAT’s commitment to developing a growing, innovative, and inclusive SMME-led economy, while advancing government’s efforts to formalise and sustain the informal trading sector.
