The ‘ Big Birds’ may be one of my favourite things to film in the wild, each one has its own unique quirks and vices... and each has an air of defiance about them that almost challenges one by saying ‘I’m not phased by you, human!’

I filmed this in the , and was struck by its proud demeanor. It couldn’t care less about who or what was in the vicinity, its crest feathers blowing in the wind, free as a.... well bird, a I suppose!

I have such admiration for this incredible bird of prey with it beautiful orange eyes and its ability to go wherever it wants... it is the ultimate symbol of freedom!
