VISION :'' IMPRA's vision is to become the leading performance rights association of Proudly South African Independent Music Producers and Performers to fast track the Music industry transformation genda, lay solid foundation for the ownership of means of production and grow the local music producers'market share.

The independent Music Performance Rights Association (IMPRA) is an entity of the Airco Growth and Development Trust as a, for accountability and proper governance, non profit entity and national licencor to third parties specific copyrights that vest in proudly South African independent record companies that are memm=bers of the Association of independent Record Companies of South Africa (Airco).The unique feature of IMPRA is that its membership consists of producers(Association of Independent Record Companies of South Africa) and performers represented by a variety of associations including the Independent Music Performers Association of South Africa). These members would have representation at the highest level of the decision making body (board of directors) of the entity. The copyrights in sound recordings provided for in the Copyright Act, 1978 and which are administered by IMPRA , are the rights of the broadcasting, dissemination and conversing of sound recordings to the public. These three rights are collectively referred to as the "performing rights''in sound recordings.
