🚨 The Famous My Lord 🥀💨 OVER R100 000 WORTH OF ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES SEIZED, TWO SUSPECTS BEHIND BARS

KATLEHONG – On Wednesday, 05 November 2025, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested two male suspects, aged 41 and 33, in connection with drug dealing in Katlehong.

Acting on reliable information about individuals allegedly selling illegal substances, officers proceeded to a residence in Monaheng Section, Mabona Street, where they found a 41-year-old man known in the area as “My Lord.”

After explaining their purpose and requesting official cultivation or manufacturing documentation (SAHPRA Section 22C license), the suspect failed to produce any proof. A search followed, leading to the discovery and confiscation of:

3 large glass containers of cannabis

17 ziplock bags of cannabis

18 cannabis-infused edible chocolates

26 cannabis-infused lollipops

The total estimated street value of the seized items is R100 000.

Later that day, officers proceeded to Motloung Section, where a 33-year-old male suspect was caught with 50 medium ziplock bags of dagga, valued at approximately R1 000.

Both suspects were arrested and detained at Katlehong Police Station, facing charges of dealing in illicit substances and infused products. They are expected to appear in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court soon.

🚨 COMMUNITY NOTICE – CHILD IN NEED OF URGENT HELP 🚨

Evening, Community.

In Katlehong Ext 9, there’s a young boy named Katleho (11 years old).
He was once a Grade 5 learner at Fortune Primary School.

👀 The boy has been seen around the area for several days.
He appears to be in poor health and hygiene.

A concerned community member spoke to him.
It was discovered that he lives with his grandfather.
Neither the boy nor the grandfather is known in the township.

😔 Katleho gave short, fearful replies.
He said he was suspended from school for not attending.
His situation remains unclear.
It’s believed he might be afraid to speak openly.

Some community members say his parents live in Dindela.
Other relatives are in Zonkizizwe.

However, other residents say the boy has been seen sleeping under a nearby bridge.

💔 We are deeply concerned about his wellbeing and safety.
This child needs urgent attention and care.
Social workers, child welfare officials, or any relevant authorities should help.

📍 Location: Katlehong Ext 9
⚠️ If you see this boy, please approach him gently and respectfully.

🚨 TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR WEARING MILITARY HATS IN KATLEHONG 🚨

KATLEHONG – The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Intervention Unit officers have arrested two male suspects, aged 23 and 24, for possession of a military hat and resisting arrest in the Moshoeshoe section of Katlehong.

According to EMPD, officers were on patrol when they spotted two men wearing South African National Defence Force (SANDF) hats while dressed in civilian clothing. When questioned, it was established that the pair were not members of the SANDF.

The situation escalated after the suspects allegedly threatened and swore at the officers, refusing to cooperate. Both men were eventually subdued and arrested. They are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.

The EMPD has warned members of the public against wearing any official military or police apparel, stating that unauthorized use of such items poses a security risk and may lead to arrest, fines, or imprisonment.

📢 COMMUNITY NOTICE | HELP PATRICK REUNITE WITH HIS FAMILY

A concerned community member, who knows ubab Patrick personally and has been taking care of him, reached out to us for help.

Bab Patrick Bhuti Maseko is currently staying at Majazana Location. He is not in good health and urgently wishes to reconnect with his family in Mavimbela, Katlehong.

Patrick’s mother is Evelyn Maseko, but he does not remember their exact address.

A little about Patrick’s past: He left Mavimbela long ago due to political unrest and eventually settled in Soweto. Patrick also moved and stayed with his girlfriend at some point, so it’s been a long time since the family has been together.

If anyone knows the Maseko family in Mavimbela, please contact us or visit Patrick at Majazana Location. Let’s come together as a community to help bring him back to his loved ones. 🙏💚
