Allistair Kaylin Lavin, born on June 23rd 2000 also known as Young Keef is an African born and raised by the ever present influence of the USA.
Keef had a very harsh childhood, losing not only his grandmother at a young age but also more recently lost his older cousin to Murder,his Aunty to Depression then later su***de. Since then the young artist dedicated his life to changing the lives of his family.
Keef has a very vibrant personally once you get to know him. He can brighten up a room with his energy and even more colourful music. He often raps about his reality which may include drugs,love,depression,clothes and money. He told XXV that his art is a reflection of not only himself but the city he grew up in. "This real life to me, waking up not knowing if you gon see the end of the day. Out here we lose people we love everyday but we keep moving forward for them, cause they watching over me"
The young artist first made his claim to "the game" in 2019 when he released his first Single and EP under his rap name $lumm Barti. Since then he's gon on to expand his catalogue to over +60 tracks released and +2000 unreleased under his new stage name 'Young Keef'.
The young artist is yet to make his first big splash in the game but based on the way things are going, it won't be long now before we see it happening.
Keef has also mentioned his love for Atlanta artist Young Thug's music, he told XXV "I fell in love with Thug as a human being... I mean in not gay or nothing but he's vibe attracted me, it's more than just drip and music... The man is a legend and I strive to be like him"
