A year later and we can genuinely say our lives look nothing like we expected, in the best way possible. So much fuller and richer than we could have hoped for, filled with genuine friendships, real community, and doors opening that we didn’t even think to ask for. The Lord has just been so faithful to our family.

Don’t get us wrong, it has been an incredibly hard year. So many challenges, so many things that have pushed us and continue to. But all around us we see that we are exactly where we need to be. We have watched miracles happen and prayers get answered in ways that still make us emotional to talk about.

A year in, we have been reflecting a lot on what this season has actually taught us. Some of these we learned the easy way, some of them we did not. But every single one has been worth it.

If this is year one, we cannot wait to see what is ahead. 🤍

On July 7 it will be one year since we got on a plane with six suitcases, a baby, and way more trust than certainty.

We wrote it all out in this month’s newsletter - the new ministry partnerships, the hard stretches, the answered prayers, and twelve things this year has taught us so far.

With six suitcases, a collection of carry-ons, one baby, and a whole lot of trust, we boarded a plane twelve months ago and moved across the ocean from Tennessee to South Africa. We sold everything we had and started over here, making this our new home.

A LOT has changed | 3-month life update from South Africa

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately, so here’s a quick life update 🤍

In February we took a trip back to the States to visit family and bring back the last few things we needed. It was such a special time and so good for our hearts. Since returning, life and ministry have picked up quickly again.
