What a weekend at ! 🍻

A huge shoutout to the Capital Craft team and all the breweries who joined us at the Beer Troopy stand and took part in the Beer Passport™ stamping madness. The community showed up in full force — and we felt the love!

We also soft-launched our brand-new Digital Pass and the all-new Beer Passport™ 2.0 — and the response? Absolutely incredible.

This next chapter lets us partner with brewers, destinations, and brands to run themed challenges, unlock rewards, and celebrate beer journeys in new ways.

Meeting Jessi Flynn from Kweza Craft Brewery – Rwanda’s Pioneering Beer Destination

One of the highlights of BeerEx Africa was finally meeting Jessi from Kweza Brewery — a place that’s fast becoming a must-visit for anyone travelling through Rwanda.

Kweza isn’t just any brewery. It’s proudly African, women-led, and built on a vision of using indigenous ingredients and local stories to shape something truly unique. In a region known for innovation and resilience, Kweza is blazing a trail — one pint at a time.

Rwanda has become a hub for conferencing in Africa, and everyone makes time to visit the brewery while they’re there. It’s that special.

A week before BeerEx Africa, I asked Beer Passport community member P.J. Hanekom who was at a conference in Kigali, to stop by and drop off a passport for Jessi… little did I know, she was already in Cape Town judging at the African Beer Cup! But PJ and his crew had an adventure of their own, zipping through Kigali on scooter taxis to find the brewery — and had an absolute blast.

🚨 The good news? Kweza Brewery now has an official Beer Passport stamp!
