It’s a heartache

Hey there heathens! Do you miss me? Lies are accepted.

What a fu***ng terrible few weeks. At least there is darkness at the end of the tunnel. Here’s the update for those interested.

This will give you an idea of where we’re going.

1. New OS (Upgrade) - Check - Faster and more stable.

2. Audio Processing Software - Check

3. New Broadcast Software (Upgrade) - Check - Allows for amongst many things, state of the art scheduling, smart jingles overlay, ability to accept requests automatically straight to queue. (No more waiting 17 days) Mic in (Oh F**k)

4. New Encoders (Upgrade) - Check

5. New Anti-Child (Firewall) (Upgrade) - Check - (Lets not talk about this. It’s a sore point)

6. New Graphic Design Software (Upgrade) - Check - Everything from the best logo design software to motion graphics. Things are gonna get real weird.

7. New audio mixing software (Upgrade) - Check - Jingles will never be the same again. Especially with Ricster’s voice, which requires so much editing.

8. New Web Design Software ( Upgrade) - Check - Responsive website. Look it up.

9. New Music Database 320kbps (Upgrade) WIP - Library already increased by 7000 songs. I have been researching extensively and have connected genres to groups which will make for great new shows. I’ve been busy building playlists accordingly, now at about 11. If all goes to plan, all songs will stream with album art from the start and include name of album and year of release.

10. Finally, New Steaming Server (Upgrade) - WIP - to allow for the 320kbps stream and and alternative lower bitrate for poor people. Also better listener and geologists stats. Best of all, ADJ will be upgraded.

This weekend I did the final checks and everything runs like Bruce Fordyce’s stomach in the Comrades Marathon. BUT, I need some of these programs to talk to each other correctly. The audio pipeline needs some work. This is the last step. Hopefully I’ll be done soon and be back better than ever.

So yea, I’ve been a busy boy.
