The Rockville Agri Story
Founded by a former newspaper editor and journalist Sbu Ngalwa, Rockville Agri is a fresh-produce farm that lies on the Kwelera River valley where perennial fresh-water pools ensure uninterrupted planting and harvesting all-year round.
Working with a team of locals from nearby villages, the farm produces vegetables for agro-processors and hawkers in and around East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa. We also cater for individual orders, for events like imigidi, imitshato and other social events.
Primarily we grow cabbages, spinach, butternut, cauliflower & broccoli and and we have since introduced peppers into the mix as our order book continues to grow.
At Rockville we are also livestock breeders, where we specialise in Boer Goat meat production and also a keep a small herd of cattle - to diversify the grazing.
