For I thought I'd share one of my favourite shots. This was taken while out on a sunrise safari at the breathtakingly beautiful .

While no animals are present in this pic, what I really love about it would have to be the solitude of driving on this dried out open plain, in search of the elusive leopard.

Turning Trash into Trash Bags

I had the honour of being alongside Western Cape Premier Alan Winde as we visited Tuffy’s manufacturing plant in Stikland, Cape Town.

Tuffy was the first organisation in the country to be certified for using 100% recycled material in its refuse bags (75% of the recycled content is the waste generated by the public that would otherwise end up in landfill) and the first to receive accreditation from an international product verification company to verify the claim 100% recycled.

Today, Tuffy is a preferred choice among South African households with its superior quality products in addition to being a key supplier to multiple big players in the retail space.

These days Tuffy, on average, recycles an astonishing 544 311 kilograms of plastic per month, which is the weight of approximately 113 elephants.

The CapeNature Whale Trail officially reopened and if you're into hiking you definitely need to make a plan to head out there.

The Whale Trail is only three hours from Cape Town and promises to be the ultimate hiking experience. The trail meanders through the breathtaking De Hoop Nature Reserve where the fragrance of fynbos intermingles with salty sea air.

The five Whale Trail overnight huts lie at the foot of the Potberg Mountains, perched high on a sea cliff offering breath-taking views. Although the fully equipped huts can sleep up to 12 people at the time, the occupancy is currently restricted to 50% in line with COVID-19 regulations for dormitory-style accommodation.
