Romans 13:10 says, “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.”
So, what some men are saying—that they “love” someone while hurting or even killing them—is not love. You cannot claim to love a person and then cause them harm. The greatest act of love is sometimes to let someone go, to give them freedom.
Even Jesus gave us free will, so we can make our own choices. Oppressing someone, forcing them to follow your rules, is the work of the devil. The devil enslaves because he hates when we seek God. He locks people down, keeps them from growing, keeps them from moving forward.
But God—the one who truly loves us, the one who laid down His life—gives us freedom. The one who saves us gives us the power to choose.
So to those harming others while claiming “love”—stop. There is no love in harm. There is no love in violence. True love frees, protects, and respects life.
