Police have arrested a 39-year-old male suspect who's a victim’s husband, in connection with the brutal and senseless killing.

BIG BREAKING NEWS:

MBALULA DIRECTS RE-RUN OF ANC PETER MOKABA CONFERENCE

07 August 2025

The ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula has confirmed that the Peter Mokaba Regional Conference was convened not in line with the ANC guidelines. Mbalula wrote to Limpopo Provincial Secretary Reuben Madadzhe informing him of the guidelines that were not followed to qualify the Peter Mokaba conference as legitimate.

Mbalula said the conference can only sit after all the disputes from branches have been resolved. Mbalula says the conference was also convened without a go-ahead from his office.

Mbalula says the Regions must only convene the conferences after the Provincial Dispute Resolution Committee and National Dispute Resolution Committee have finalised the disputes and presented a report to his office.

Mbalula also said there was no final Secretary General report prior to the commencement of the conference.

He further says the Regional Task Team relied on the old report and overlooked the new report by the National Dispute Resolution Committee.

The Peter Mokaba Regional Conference still had over 10 disputes that remained unresolved when the conference went ahead.
