The gruesome discovery was made on Friday evening, August 8, 2025, when the woman’s lifeless body was found at her home in Malamulele town (Section D)with multiple stab wounds and PARTIALLY burned legs.
Police have arrested a 39-year-old male suspect who's a victim’s husband, in connection with the brutal and senseless killing.
The suspect was apprehended in Bungeni areas after he tried to flee, unfortunately he experienced an accident where his mini bus taxi hit a stationary bus, again the guy tried to flee from the accident scene by foot, but was caught by the police who were in pursuit.
Preliminary reports, confirmed that the victim had just returned from a school trip in Durban.
The information doing rounds by some media houses suggesting that She was tied up and was burned beyond recognition remain blatant LIES and MISLEADING.
Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, condemned the brutal killing and urged couples to seek professional help to resolve conflicts instead of resorting to violence.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Malamulele Magistrate’s Court on Monday, August 11, 2025, facing charges of murder, arson and defeating the ends of justice.
