●We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant or Bookkeeper to join our team in Malmesbury, Swartland. ●The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with hands-on experience in preparing and managing journal entries, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
●Key Responsibilities:
Record and process journal entries accurately for financial transactions.
Maintain general ledgers and assist in preparing financial statements.
Reconcile accounts and ensure data integrity.
Assist with budgeting, tax preparation, and basic financial reporting.
Collaborate with the team to support audits and financial compliance.
●Requirements:
Relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g., SACOB Higher Certificate in Applied Accounting, AT SA Level 3/4, or equivalent).
Proven experience with journal entries and financial record-keeping.
●Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
●Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, or XERO).
●Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
●Based in or willing to work in Malmesbury, Western Cape.
[Optional: SAICA/CIMA registration or progress toward accreditation is a plus.]
