The Centre for Creative Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal has the prestigious honour of being the first South African institution to present Masterclasses in theatre-making by the recently established John Kani Performing Arts Academy (JKA)✨📝🙌

Register now for the three-day free Masterclass programme with the globally celebrated icons, Dr John Kani (Acting) and Professor Zakes Mda (Writing); and Durban’s own multi-award-winning director Steven Stead (Directing)⭐️👏

✍️The three-day KZN Masterclass Programme in acting, writing and directing presented from Monday, 29 September to Wednesday, 1 October 2025 will be opened to a limited number of artists in order to ensure that the participants receive the maximum benefit from the Masterclasses.

The KZN Masterclass Programme is made possible by an Incubation grant from the Department of Sport, Arts and Culture. Fifteen people maximum per class.
