I think-People don’t want you to say anything about anything! Shut up, let the system think for you! Trust those in power
Give your to religion
Worship those who Feed you rubbish with a smile -blacks believe in Jesus register for heaven/teach ur children to be good slaves!
What happened to freedom and sharing ?
What happened to our minds and free will to conscience and true human dignity!
What happened the innocence of youth to question and exploring the world?
What happened to our dreams of adolescence when the world was there to be explored.. ?
Why do we abuse each other and try to control each other?
I mean flying machines come out of adventure, computers are inventions not caged inside all of us? What happened to the dreams of youth - and excitement in the dance of groom and the blush on the brow of the bride! The fantasies of of a nation a buried in the mud of greed of a few!
The educated read old newspapers and announce they have found something new!
I sat with you - I went to your schools - I married and cried with you- what makes you think that I don’t understand this world and it’s misery? The path which leads me to the jungle of my thoughts is a world I desire and I have found peace in!
I am not confused, bitter, or angry with you in hindsight - you all did and do what you know and think is best for you: the danger is to think what is best for you must be best for me.. you are not me and I am not you.
Every time you deprive me an opportunity to be be me ... you forfeit the opportunity to experience me!
One morning I woke up - and I was dead cold on the bed of hatred and ridicule
My eyes were wide open as I died - you had to close my eyes so that I could not look at you!
Speeches were being written and song prepared to “celebrate a life” you hated what a sad life!
I looked in your eyes and my death seemed to have given you rest - I wonder what you rested from and if those tears you shared were for me or yourselves?
So here my body is ready for the ants and my children will put a stone on my cave covered me with a skin of an ox and sit me me on my chair. In the darkness and silence of my Tomb time paused as I listened to eternity in the music of the flies and ants as they ate my flesh- my task on this earth finally ended.
I would rest from worrying about about who don’t worry about me!
I would rest from from statuses and insults from mankind
I would no longer breath contaminated air or drink poisoned water
I sat on my chair with my staffs in my hands...
Then I heard footsteps of people coming to my grave......
To be continued ....

The farmer finally has become a seed

What happened? Two years after independence in 1966 there were more jobs than Zambians could take. Cars in Livingstone, batteries in Mansa, Glassware in Kapiri, designer clothes in Luanshya, Chitenges in Kabwe and Kafue etc: All Made in Zambia but now dead. Polony and Sausages were enough to export and we did not rely on South Africa to feed us, or China to Cloth us and build us roads, or the US to lend us money, or Sudanese to Teach us how to mine our Minerals.
We now have so much debt we don't even know how to make a plan on how we will pay it back. We now need experts from abroad to come and teach us how to do things our parents used to do. Now one wonders how we ended up here. Honestly it's a shame.
The truth is that we lost confidence in ourselves. We started pulling one another down. This culture of looking down on ourselves should stop now before our children learn it. Let every Zambian realize that we are very intelligent people and almost everyone I know who went overseas to study went on to become best student.
We can revive this country, we can change things. We can make our dreams come true right under these difficult circumstances. Wherever we want to go our feet shall take us there.
