Scotland has to beat Ireland with a four try bonus point and deny Ireland from getting a bonus point. If Scotland beat Ireland and both teams didn't get a bonus, they will end up on 14 log points. Scotland will then advance with the Springboks.
Only, if all 3 teams end on 15 log points, points difference will determine who goes through. Scotland will have to beat Ireland by +21 points, score 4 tries to have a better points difference than the Boks. Scotland and Ireland, if the Irish get a bonus point, will then proceed.
The pressure is thus on Ireland! The "brave hearts' have less to lose. If Ireland loses. they might miss the play offs.
