ESKOM DOES NOT PAY YOU FOR REPORTING ILLEGAL CONNECTIONS OF ELECTRICITY “Izinyokanyoka”

Reports on social media that Eskom will pay you R10 000 for reporting illegal connections of electricity are false, and there is no regulation that states that Eskom must pay a member of the public a fee for each report of illegal electricity.

Illegal connections are a problem and a crime and must be reported free of charge (citizen’s duty).

Do not expect to be paid for reporting illegal connections around your community.

Report your neighbour who is connected illegally to Eskom electricity, but please do not fall victim to the belief that you will be paid.

Such reports of payment are false information, as no one will pay you.

Report that neighbour. Don’t be scared, and be a good citizen so that we can all have legal connections from Eskom.

The African Union has not said anything about the matter of a former president allegedly joining a rebel group.

Joseph Kabila was in power in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for more than 18 years.

He succeeded his father, Laurent-Désiré Kabila, who took power after the fall of Mobutu Sese Seko.

The eastern part of the DRC has not experienced lasting peace for more than 30 years.

The armed groups operating in the region include fighters from Rwanda, Burundi and other neighbouring countries, as well as Congolese nationals.

The United Nations has made several attempts to resolve the conflict in the DRC, but lasting peace remains elusive after more than three decades of violence.

Afrika Mayibuye candidate councillor Fani Sibeko has shot and killed five ANC Youth League members in Katlehong, Ward 51.

He handed himself over to the police after shooting and killing two men and three women.

Three other young men are currently battling for their lives in a local hospital.

The case will be handed over to the PKTT for further investigation.

Fani Sibeko is an RCT member of Afrika Mayibuye and the primary adviser to Afrika Mayibuye mayoral candidate SkeemGP.

Afrika Mayibuye has not released a media statement or issued an apology as yet.

EFF MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT NALEDI CHIRWA COULD FACE UP TO 2 YEARS IN JAIL.

EFF Member of Parliament Naledi Chirwa could face legal consequences if found guilty of assaulting a saps officer on duty.

An assault case has been opened against her following an alleged altercation at Brooklyn Police Station in Pretoria.

However, the investigation is ongoing, and the allegations must still be tested through the legal process.

Chirwa has denied the allegations and claims she was denied basic services as a South African citizen.

She has also alleged that she was assaulted by a police officer and opened a counter-case.

According to media reports, the dispute began when Chirwa requested the commissioning of an affidavit she had already signed.

Police reportedly explained that it had to be signed in the presence of a Commissioner of Oaths.

The confrontation allegedly escalated, leading to her arrest and subsequent release on warning.

Her case was not enrolled on 12 October 2026 because investigations were incomplete.

Both sides have made allegations that remain to be tested.

CAPE TOWN SETS NEW STANDARDS TO STOP ROBOT THEFT BY INSTALLING CONCRETE BARRIERS!

The City of Cape Town is always finding new ways to prevent the theft and vandalism of traffic lights (robots).

Meanwhile, Ekurhuleni appears to be lagging behind in finding strategic ways to protect its robots from thieves.

Hundreds of robots across Ekurhuleni have been vandalised and are no longer working.

The city has tried everything in its power, but it seems the tsotsis are always outsmarting city officials.

Many taxpayers are asking whether Ekurhuleni can ever look like Cape Town and attract tourists and businesses.

However, that dream seems as distant as a monkey dreaming of becoming a human being someday.

Why is Ekurhuleni failing to protect its traffic light system while thieves and amapara continue stealing and vandalising robots?

For those South Africans who are attempting to apply for asylum through the Home Affairs online system:

Remember, once your biometric data is captured on the Home Affairs asylum seekers’ system and you are rejected, you may be deported to Bangladesh or Abuja, Nigeria 🇳🇬.

As it will become difficult for you to prove that you are a South African citizen, Home Affairs may mistake you for a rejected and undocumented asylum seeker and deport you to Nigeria, where it could be difficult for you to survive with only Jollof rice and ekusi.

Those trying to encourage South African citizens without documentation to apply for asylum are urged to stop, as this is a dangerous piece of advice.

South African citizens without documents are encouraged to approach Home Affairs offices close to them and get their Smart IDs unblocked.

It is free of charge to reinstate your South African citizenship; it does not cost even R1.

Kindly go to Home Affairs and explain your situation. The official will assist you.

Those who are misled and advised to apply for asylum so they can receive SASSA grants, please do not fall for such misinformation.

You may find yourself in Congo, where they speak French and Swahili, and you won’t be able to communicate in Zulu or any South African language.

It will be difficult for you to find your way back to Mzansi.

Do not be a victim nor be fooled.

DO NOT APPLY FOR ASYLUM IF YOU ARE A SOUTH AFRICAN CITIZEN!

Some people have been spreading misinformation on social media, encouraging undocumented South Africans to apply for asylum following the opening of online asylum applications by the Department of Home Affairs for foreign nationals seeking asylum.

A South African citizen cannot claim asylum in their own country as a means of resolving an identity or documentation problem.

If you come across a social media post encouraging South Africans to apply for asylum, do not follow that advice without verifying the information with the Department of Home Affairs.

Providing your biometric information and personal details during an immigration process may create complications if your identity or citizenship is incorrectly recorded. However, the consequences depend on the circumstances and the applicable procedures.

Do not assume that applying for asylum will automatically make you a foreign national or a Zimbabwean citizen. South African citizenship is governed by law and is not automatically lost simply because of an incorrect application.

Please be careful about the information you see on social media. Not everything shared online is true.

If one were to put a lie detector on Helen Zille to check whether her intention to fix Johannesburg is genuine, she would literally pass the test.

She is among the few candidates who are genuinely willing to work hard and fix Johannesburg if elected mayor.

Helen did well in the Western Cape while she was in government.

Her administrative experience could greatly benefit Johannesburg.

As it stands, Johannesburg faces numerous problems, including water shortages, electricity challenges, broken infrastructure, and crime.

Voting for Helen should not be about politics or whether one loves or hates the DA.

It should be about her work ethic and the experience she brings to government, which could benefit millions of Johannesburg residents.
