This is after Ethiopian nationals around the area were attacked by a group of armed suspects who
were reportedly using three vehicles:

โ€ข A private vehicle, (registration number unknown) ๐Ÿš˜
โ€ข A marked SAPS VW Golf GTI, confirmed to belong to the Polokwane Flying Squad.
The private vehicle (Suzuki/Avanza) reportedly fled the scene carrying multiple boxes of suspected illicit ci******es and an undisclosed amount of cash. ๐Ÿš”

Further investigation at the scene led to the seizure of boxes of illicit ci******es with an estimated street value of about R1.5 million, and R950,000 in cash found at the scene. Two of the arrested police officers were found in possession of their official service fi****ms, which have since been confiscated. All five suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
