MV has something up it's sleeve, and it seems to be centered around a new 5 cylinder motor unveiled at the recent Eicma show. Here are pics of the motor, and a pic (all pics found online) of what the new F5 Superbike could look like.

Apparently the new motor, which features three cylinders in front and two in the back, each with it's own crankshaft, will be used in various capacities ranging from 850cc to somewhere between 1100cc and 1200cc.

The 2025 BMW M1000RR COMPETITION model is available at BMW MOTORRAD MBOMBELA!

Go and check out this awesome machine! Simply gorgeous from front to back, plenty of carbon fibre bits all over, including the rims. The inline-four motor pushes out 218 hp which equates to a top speed of 314 kph!

BIKER ACCESSIBLE PLACES TO VISIT IN MPUMALANGA (Part 2 of 2)

A few months ago, 2 Wheels Only had visitors over (which happened to be Gabi's dad and his girlfriend, him being of German descent and her originally from Switzerland and extremely well travelled internationally) for a few days, and we decided to show them some of the splendor we have right here on our doorstep.

From our base in Whiteriver, we spent a day trip to the Kruger National Park, a day trip to the Sudwala Caves and the third day we took them to the Graskop Gorge Lift Co.

Each of the three evenings were spent eating out at Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre in Whiteriver at a few of our favourite restaurants namely GumTreez Pub & Grill, Avli Greek Grill and Magnolia Restaurant & Cocktail Lounge White River. Our visitors were suitably impressed by all three restaurants.

This post covers the Graskop Gorge Lift Co – FOREST WALK (LIFT & FOREST EXPERIENCE), which we last visited a few years ago. Situated right outside Graskop, this facility must be on your list to visit if you are in the area. There's also a Cliff Walk, the Big Swing and a Zipline which we'll attempt on another occasion as we were pushed for time on our visit.

The FOREST WALK is an unbelievable experience and you really feel at one with nature here. The route has changed quite considerably since our last visit, and will continue to evolve and remain ‘fresh’ with numerous new things in the pipeline.

This post covers the Sudwala Caves, which I last visited many years ago. A mere 35 kms from Nelspruit (Mbombela) the caves must be on your list to visit if you are in the area. Current entry prices for the Cave Tour are R130 for adults, R110 for pensioners and R65 for kids. There's also a Dinosaur Park and Zipline which we'll visit on another occasion as we were pushed for time on our visit.

The road up to the caves' entrance is quite steep with many tight turns, the key on a bike (especially for newer riders) is just to keep momentum up and stay in first or second gear.

The Cave Tour is absolutely amazing and the guides are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We also had a bite to eat at the restaurant at the top by the cave's entrance, and the food was delicious.

The standard Cave Tour takes approximately 1 hour and if you are brave and adventurous, you can tackle the Crystal Chamber tour which involved a lot of crawling through mud and very tight spaces, but apparently well worth it at the end. Get ready for the 2nd LOWVELD MOTORCYCLE SPRING ECONOMY FUN RUN, taking place on 14 September 2025. Following on the success of last year's inaugural event, 2 Wheels Only brings you the 2025 event complete with a NEW VENUE and a NEW ROUTE.

The NEW VENUE for the 2025 event is Laguna Pub & Grub and Astron Energy Whiteriver, perfectly situated and completely biker friendly. Plenty to eat and drink available throughout the day, as well as live entertainment by Brian and Barry (music).

EVENT FORMAT:
The aim is to use the least fuel over a route of 120km which needs to be completed in a set time. There are various classes according to engine size as well as a pillion class with prizes up for grabs (entrants only).

PROGRAM
8 am till 10 am - Registration, fuel fill up and tanks sealed.
10 am - Briefing 🎤🎤
10:30 am till 12 - Competitors set off on the route 🏍🏍
2:30/3:00 pm - Prizegiving 🏆🏆

All bikes and all bikers are welcome to enter this exciting event. Last year a lady rider - Ciska Vermeulen on her BMW GS650 showed everyone how it's done by taking overall honours, so the target is on her back this year.

2 Wheels Only attended the Mad Dogs Day Jol held on 2 August 2025 at Hazyview Park Lodge, Mpumalanga, and we came away suitably impressed. The crowd was entertained the whole day with many games for the guys and ladies, and the evergreen rocking sounds of Burglar's Dog who traveled all the way from Joburg to entertain us.
