🚨NEWS UPDATE

Musician and television personality Molemo “Jub Jub” Maarohanye was released on R5,000 bail on Tuesday following a successful urgent application in the Gauteng High Court.

Maarohanye was arrested last weekend in connection with an alleged incident involving an e-hailing driver in Edenvale. His initial court appearance, scheduled for Monday, was postponed to Wednesday. His legal representatives argued that the delay infringed on his constitutional rights. The High Court upheld the application, granting bail pending his next court date.

The matter has been postponed to 22 June 2026 while police continue with their investigation.

🚨NEWS UPDATE.

The search for 22-year-old student Zenande Chiloane has ended in heartbreak.

His body was recovered from the Crocodile River near Ka-Magugu, Mbombela, on Youth Day, Tuesday, 16 June 2026.

Rescue teams braved hazardous conditions, including crocodile and hippo activity, to continue the operation until the recovery was made.

Police forensic specialists and emergency personnel are at the scene. The exact circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation, and authorities are expected to release further details once the process is complete.

Ubuthebe FM extends condolences to Zenande’s family, friends, and the broader community during this difficult time.
